What does IDisposable mean?

IDisposable comes from a programming concept in the Microsoft .NET Framework.

It represents a mechanism by which things are thrown away (in memory or otherwise).

All you Microsoft heads should “Get it” right away. For everyone else, I chose this name because a) I thought it was cool at the time I registered it while I was still into .NET and b) I think most of what is being said here can be thrown away.

That said, you might some articles and posts interesting. If you do, please comment! I love to hear back from people who take the time out of their day to read my words.

Thanks

Ed
